TA to ISDN router

I have a Cisco 3640 router, it is connected to an ISDN PRI where it is used for DDR to our other sites. It also has 12 modems used by teleworkers for remote access via modem.

One of my teleworkers has an ISDN terminal adaptor connected to their Pc and would like to dial in to the router using this.

Whenever they dial in they get disconnected straight away.

Monitoring the router gives me no clues.

Is what am I trying to do possible or do I need a separate ISDN line for TA to router access.

Please help

TIA

I believe that your telecommuter will need more than just a TA. You need some type of application on the PC to negotiate PPP with the 3640 (without which the 3640 will disconnect the caller). Maybe something like the Cisco 200 product line (link below). "Nottingham Limited" suggests a European ISDN service, so the 201 is probably your best bet.

If you have already addressed the PC interface to the router, is there any type of caller ID functionality enabled on the 3640?
