Token Ring Interface

Hello All,

I'm having a bit of troubles configuring a Token Ring Interface. I know TO is no longer supported or used.

I have a 2504 Router with 1 TO interface.

I have purchased a RJ45/DB9M modular Adapter for the TO.

How do I set the TO interface to use a standard RJ45 ethernet cable?

Can this be done?

RJ-45 to DB-9 Configuration

Connect the pins on the RJ-45 connector to the pins on the DB-9 connector as follows:

The above configuration can be used whether the DB-9 connector is male or female, because the cables are “straight-through” with no cross-overs as found in a null modem.
