Hello,
I have bought two catalyst 2950T switchs and installed the documentation CD as indicated and successfully, but when launching it, the browser open (Internet Explorer V 6) with the following URL in adress bar http://127.0.0.1:8080/home/home.htm, but the page doesn't open (unreachable).
I have opened the home page by clicking directely on it in the explorer window of the CD, but when clicking on any link for product documentation I get uncomprehensive characters in the Internet explorer window.
Can anybody help me.

Hi
I remember from an earlier posting in the forum.....you have to
rename the expired.htm to home.htm and then it should work.
I never tried it my self.
Hope that helps

Hi Hall
When you install the cd there will be a folder CISCO created under this folder
there are more folders. In the forms folder i found the expired.htm. I guess it's
this one.
Check the forum posting where i have read it:
Just search for
"Using Cisco Documentation CD on a Win2K Pro Machine"

Hello Roger,
I also have the following problem; the firt URL used is
http://127.0.0.1:8080/expired.htm
I replaced "expired" by "home", then it works now.
Thank you for this solution. This solve my problem.
Regards,
Jean-david
