Upgrade Ciscoworks WUG backend to version 8.x?

Hi all,

I've logged a call with TAC askeing if its OK to upgrade What's Up Gold (we run Ciscoworks for Windows 6.1 which has version 7.x) to version 8.x. I've received a reply saying WUG is tightly integrated with Ciscoworks for Windows and we shouldn't try the upgrade as it hasn't been tested, but we can try and and open a Product Enhancement Request with a local Cisco office.

My question is have any of you running Ciscoworks for Windows 6.1 successfully upgraded What's Up Gold to version 8.x?

CWW6.1 does not support WUG 8.x and hence you cannot just upgrade to WUG 8.x with CWW 6.1.

The new CiscoWorks Small Network Management Solution 1.5 comes with WUG 8.0, and you can move to this bunlde if you want to use WUG 8.x: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/cscowork/ps2408/prod_bulletin09186a00801c0a33.html
