Dear support, I have router 1601 with 8 MB Dram and $ MB flash , Can i install

IOS version 12.2 (3) on it with this configuration ?

I heared when compressing the IOS and start TFTP copy flash it continues the rest OF the IOS on the DRAM , does this work fine after installing the IOS ?

What is the memory requirements of the 12.2 (3) for router 1601 ?

Depends on your image if you can load this or not on what feature set is in your code you are trying to load up. As you see above from IP to the FW feature set it ranges a good bit.

Compressing the image on your TFTP server will not work. You must meet memory requirements. Some images will load without the minimum but if you have problems you'll likely need to address this first.

Don i asked these question because i wanna make a solution of Qos for voice over IP over frame-relay ..

I have the following :

* 2 routers 1601 with 8 MB Dram / 4 MB flash with IOS version 12.0 (7)T &

12.0 ( 8)

* 2 routers 805 with 8 MB Dram / 4 MB flash with IOS 12.2(3)

* A main site with 256 Kbps and 3 sites 64 kbps each with

( frame - relay lmi-type ansi , frame-relay IETF )

I want to Apply the following Qos configuration :

1-LLQ with priority

2-frame relay traffic-shaping

3-IP rtp header-compression

4-Output service policy in the map-class associated with Dlci

5-FRF.12 to fragment the packets ( 80 Bytes )

Can i apply the following commands with the current configuration or i must upgrade something..

Looks like you should be able to do this, except on your 12.0.8 running routers. Those will need to be upgraded. These features are in the following code 12.2(16) 12.0(2a)T1
