Hi there,
I have five switches 2900XL in my network (on production), and i would like to manage traffic on ports of switches with one IP address.
Q. Can I do this by creating one VLAN that spans over all switches and how ?
Thank you in advance.

The only way I know of doing this with one address is using cluster management suite . I don't know of any other way to manage multiple 2900's , if using CLI then you have give each switch it's own ip address . CMS info at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps637/products_configuration_guide_chapter09186a00800d9d38.html

Thank you for your response,
I thought that when I configure VLAN IP address on the server switch it let me manage all ports on the same VLAN on the switches that are configured as Clients on the same vtp domain.
I have an another two questions :
Q1.How can i override the console password on a 2900XL switch?
Q2.Can I put on cascade a 1900 switch with 2900XL switch?
Thank you.

Q1: Follow the password recovery procedure for 2900XL series
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps607/prod_password_recoveries_list.html
Q2: You can't. Cisco 2900 and 1900 are totally different platforms. You can use a cross cable to Interconnect the switches.
