VMPS and VTP?

Hi. Can anyone give me more information on implementation of VMPS? I need to know if our access switches that would be part of the VMPS network environment "must" be configured for VTP client or server switch modes to work with VMPS. At the moment we have set the VLANs for every switch manually and VTP mode is transparent. Please help. Thanks.

The VLAN Trunking Protocol (VTP) management domain and the management VLAN of VMPS clients and the VMPS server must be the same.
