VTP domain name

Hello,

I have 2950 switches on my network,which has 12.1 (6) IOS running. These switches does not have the vtp domain command. now, inorder to change the VTP domain names in these switches, there is a command called vtp file-id. how do i use this command to change the names ? i dont want to do IOS upgrades on these switches. any work around ?

have you tried to use the VTP domain from within the ´vlan database´ command ?

2950#vlan database --> then the VTP commands should appear
