I have a small Vlan network with 1 6509 and 100 + 3524 switches.. My question is if there are some 3534s setup to be VTP server instead of client would it cause problems with my network.?

potentially, yes. 2 servers have been known to fight over things,
causing one to hammer the vlan database. go transparent & avoid the headache.

It's recommended to have at least two VTP servers while using VTP.
The second one can server as a backup for the case of power failure damaged the primary one, e.g.
Just remember carefully which switches are VTP servers.

You can configure 3524s as VTP server but VLAN information will not be transmitted to other VTP servers whnever there is change in it. So it always advisable to configure 2 switches as VTP server. One as a primary server and the other as secondary server. It is advisable to VTP domain per VLAN.
