hi

VTP advertisements are sent over factory default VLAN (VLAN1) using multicast frames.

Why multicast frames why not broadcast frames.

VTP is cisco proprietary protocol and uses a multicast MAC address which other Cisco devices can understand. BTW, why would you want it to be a broadcast?
