Our client has a star topology network. The center is a 4503 depolying 48 port single mode fibre connecting to 4 remote locations. Each location has a 2955S-12 switch. The distances from remote locations to centre as below
1st remote location to Control Centre = 5 kms
2nd remote location to Control Centre = 10 kms
3th remote location to Control Centre = 15 kms
4th remote location to Control Centre = 20 kms
There are 4,6,8,10 splices between 1st,2nd,3th,4th remote locations and Control Centre respectively,
Cisco specification says:
Power output from 4503 single mode port is -8dbM to -15dBm
Receiver of 2955S-12 accepts power level from -31dBm to -38dBm
Would the above connections be all right?
