When trying to decide what IOS to get, I'm curious what the difference between 'Ipservices' and 'ipservices - lan only' is. Is there an IOS matrix comparison list or something that gives the differences between 'ip services' and 'ip services lan-only'?

Sure, just go to http://tools.cisco.com/ITDIT/CFN/jsp/index.jsp and select the 2 images you want to compare.

I am surprised how difficult it was to find anything that explains this. But I did find this in one of the Release Notes:
Note Starting with Cisco IOS Software Release 12.1(13)E, the Cisco Catalyst 6500 and Cisco 7600 offer three new additional LAN module-only feature sets: Service Provider LAN-only, Enterprise LAN-only, and Enterprise LAN-only with Secure Shell (SSH) and 3DES. WAN interface modules (Cisco Catalyst 6500/Cisco 7600 Series Flex WAN modules and all Optical Services Modules (OSMs) are not supported.
So it looks to me like this is something that reduces the size and complexity of the code by excluding support for WAN modules. If you want more detail here is the link:

I appreciate the link and it will help me in finding out a lot about IOS features, however in this particular case it didn't work for me. It displayed no unique features when I selected 12.(18)SXF11 for Cat600-SUP720/MSFC3 and then tried to compare IP SERVICES SSH and IP SERVICES SSH LAN ONLY.
Any other thoughts?
