What is the burst traffic ?

Hi.

I wish to understanding of the QoS.

Reading the book related QoS.

Don't understand the following terms.

1. What is the burst traffic.

2. What is the token bucket.

3. and i don't understand the process of the traffic shaping or policying with token bucket algorithms.

Bandwidth used above the Committed Information rate is called Burst traffic. It is used when the bandwidth available is more than CIR. But you will be accounted more for that.
