what's function of multiple dialer map?

My router has following comand,I can't understand what's the function of it.

ip addr 10.1.100.1 255.255.255.252

dialer map ip 10.1.100.2 name routerb 9822233

dialer map ip 10.1.88.1 name routerb 9822233

dialer map ip 10.1.89.1 name routerb 9822233

why there are 3 dialer map command ? what's advantage of this?

Henry,

I see no reason for three different maps pointing three different IP addresses to the same remote name and phone number. I bet somebody tried mapping addresses to routerb when they should have provided static routes pointing those addresses to 10.1.100.2, which is the only address mapped to routerb that is consistent with the address you have configured on your BRI interface.
