I issue command "show inter" , and my c2950 give me this :

5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

5 minute output rate 176000 bits/sec, 177 packets/sec

925560 packets input, 65196665 bytes, 0 no buffer

And another one is :

5 minute input rate 177000 bits/sec, 178 packets/sec

5 minute ouxtput rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

14717408 packets input, 313382703 bytes, 0 no buffer

This is the output of "show ver"

c2950 uptime is 19 hours, 43 minutes

Hi,

it seems like a bug to me.

I can see

5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

5 minute ouxtput rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

on the switch side

and

5 minute input rate 1000 bits/sec, 4 packets/sec

5 minute output rate 9000 bits/sec, 3 packets/sec

on the other side of the same line where a router is connected.

But no bug found using Bug Navigation Tool.

Regards,

Milan

Is the port with output rate 0 in a BLOCKING state?

"show spanningtree interface " will show you this

No , the ports are in forwarding stat , and I have try the image : c2950-i6q4l2-mz.121-11.EA1.bin , but nothing changed .

what is this port conencted to ? the routing metrics may be influencing the way the input and output traffic is flowing

No,

the topology is:

switch---router---WAN

and the sh int output is from both sides of the line between the router and the switch.

Port is up and data is transported through it.

I've notice following:

Last input 00:00:59, output 00:00:01, output hang

5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

5 minute output rate 1000 bits/sec, 1 packets/sec

But I was sending ping -t -l 1000 (i.e. 1000 Bytes each 2 seconds) through the line that time.

According Last input 00:00:59 it seems like a bug.

Milan
