Dear everybody:
This is about a cisco 2621 router . We use this router as a terminal server , the terminal connect to the async port of 2621 , then 2621 connect to a sco host . We use a software named ZJlink run on SCO , which can make the terminal looks like connected directly to the host . (I think it use reverse telnet technology to do this).
Now , when I kill the process(daemon) on SCO , the line on cisco router should go to idle , and can then do reverse telnet on the console(to the line) , but it can not until I issue the clear line command . This is unacceptable by the user , because the user do not want to do this on the router . When I show tcp (line No.) , I see that the tcp connection is closed , but it does not disapear(it should show nothing on the screen) . I must issue the clear line command .
Note:I have use the service tcp keepalive command .
Thank you.
How can I do ? The user can not always use the clear line command.

Don't know what disconnect sequence ZJlink use to disconnect the line but
Terminating the reverse Telnet session requires first suspending it, then disconnecting it. To suspend a session, enter the escape sequence Ctrl-Shift-6 x (press Control-Shift-6, let go, then press x). Enter the "disconnect" EXEC command to terminate the Telnet session.
But try to reverse telnet the same way as Zjlink does from a windows box..lets say ip address of 2621 is 1.1.1.1 and async port 1 is a sco host..Enter following command afrom windows box..
telnet 1.1.1.1 2001 and kiil the connection..You don't need to clear the line..
