WS-C2950SX-24 its connected to WS-C3560CG-8PC-S with fiber connection.

WS-C2950SX-24 its connected to WS-C3560CG-8PC-S with fiber connection.

 

Questions: Am planning to change the 2950sx switch into 2960 or 2960x -> if a remove the SFP from the existing switch and connect it to the 2960 series switch. It should work? 2950

2960SX only support 100BaseFX.  

mean if i swap the SFP it won't work ? Please correct me if am wrong...

The 2950 has an MTRJ patch cord.  2960 SFP have a different form.

For example :

i will remove the 2950 switch from network & connect the 2960 switch with new fiber cable with WS-C3560CG-8PC-S.[ with multimode fiber ]

 

then it should work right? completely am planning to lay the new cable 

i what to know what type SFP i need to use in the both end [2960 & 3560]

 

LX and SX it will support for above setup right.
