WS-X6548V-GE-TX PROBLEM!

Hi, We have a card like the one described above (WS-X6548V-GE-TX)10/100/1000BaseT GE. We need to install it in a Catalyst 6509.

This is what we have:

WS-C6509 Software, Version NmpSW: 7.4(3)

Copyright (c) 1995-2002 by Cisco Systems

NMP S/W compiled on Nov 27 2002, 16:27:21

System Bootstrap Version: 5.3(1)

Hardware Version: 2.0 Model: WS-C6509 Serial #: SCA040201D6

This card is not recognize by this switch.

There is a way to install this card on my switch and make it works?

What can I do ?

The Software Advisor utility on CCO comes up with 12.2(19)E1 as the minimum release.

The WS-X6548V requires CatOS 7.6(1) or above.

And if this is a Sup1a, note that 128Mb DRAM on the Supervisor engine is recommended to run 7.6(x)
