802.1Q trunking on Catalyst 5500 SUP 3 with ws-u5533 card

I have a Catalyst 5500 running software version 4.5(10) on SUP 3's.

I need to create an 802.1Q trunk between this switch and a Catalyst 4006. While the code supports 802.1Q, the switch will not allow 802.1Q on the ws-u5533 module and says the feature is not supported.

Is there any way around this issue without adding a fiber module or upgrading the code to version 5?

ws-u5533 module does not support dot1q. What modules do you have in the 4006? Paste the output of sh module
