A split t1 - is it fractional T1 that u mean ?
I think the TSU 120 has front panel buttons which let you scroll through various menu options for setting parameters on the T1. If its a full T1, there should be 24 channels configured on the TSU, if its a fractional T1 with N channels, then it should be configured for N channels.
Ask your service provider for T1 circuit parameters like, Framing (usually esf), linecode - (usually b8zs), who is providing clock (usually external)..
Once you have these parameters, the front panel buttons are pretty straight forward in configured N channels for the T1, the linecode, framing, clock etc.
I think the Tsu 120 also has a console port but it requires a special db9 adapter (not cisco one) and a special console cable (both comes with the TSU) to configure using hyperterminal. The configuration via console is again menu based.
YOu should connect a v.35 serial cable from the TSU 120 to the router. The end of the cable on the router side will most likely be db60 type (wic-1t) or smart serial type (wic-2t). On the serial interface all you need to configure is
int s0
ip add <> <>

Thank you very much. is it possible to configure this with a wic 1dsu?

Yes you can. WIC-1DSU-T1 has inbuilt CSU/DSU so you wont need the adtran any more. You can directly plug a cat 5 cable from the wic to the smartjack. You will need to configure some commands
For full T1
int s0
service-module t1 timeslots all speed 64
For frac T1 (8 channels)
int s0
service-module t1 timeslots 1-8 speed 64

If you have a multimode(voice+data) you need to map the channels. You need to find out how many channels for data. for example 512k would be 8 channels, so the start from the back. The first 16 channels (0-15) would be set for voice and the last 8 (16-23)for data.

If its one T1 that you have subscribed to (for voice and data), you cannot use both adtran and wic-1dsu-t1 at the same time. Your best bet is to go with the adtran because it has capability to split (mux/demux) voice and data (voice on DSX port and data on v.35). WIC-1DSU-T1 is a data only wic.
