ios upgrade and flash size

trying to upgrade 2621 w/16 flash to 12.3 13 from 12.3 12a.

flash size is 16252924

12a is 16,233,948

13 is 16,283,856

Geting insufficient space. Any way aroung this?

You can boot from a tftp server:

There are alot of free tftp servers, I personally prefer this one:

Make sure to keep the existing IOS image on the flash for backup.

Hi,

trying to get the file of larger size into a flash which has lower capacity is not an easy task. But perhaps it is not that bad and you are only showing "show flash" command output here while still having the full 16MB capacity flash.

If so, will you please issue the command "erase flash" which will give you 16777216 MB of your flash back again. Then you can continue with standard "copy tftp flash" command. Just keep your box on power until finished otherwise you will need to continue with the rommon commands.
