reboot on a cisco 2509

After entering my configuration on a cisco router 2509, when I reboot the device, I loose my configuration .

So what i have to do to maintain my configuration.

Firstly, check that the configuration register isn't set to ignore config. Type a "sh ver" at the prompt and confirm what the value of the configuration register is. Ideally it should be 0x2102.

When you reboot and lose the config, if you do a show startup-config is it there? If so the config-register is the likely culprit.

Did you save the configuration to NVRAM?

command: copy running-config startup-config
