Traffic Simulator

Can anyone suggest me a good traffic / Network simulator tool used for capacity planning in terms of response time , Bandwidth requirement.

My main aim is to simulate a network & want to test some apps. for benchmarking.

MRTG is not a traffic simulator but is a good free ware tool for capacity planning, bandwidth monitoring.

U can't simulate ant network with MRTG , MRTG will help u to monitor the running network , I am asking abt a tool who can even help me in designing the networks.

Hint :- I like a tool like netiq charriot .

I use several tools including Iperf, MRTG, Netflow, flow-tools and flowscan to break down my testing results graphically and numerically. After the test/pilot phase I continue to use these tools to ensure QoS performance stays within the limits I've defined.
