506E temp.

Hello,

Just purchased two brand new 506E units, and both get extremely hot while running with no actual load. Is this normal? It seems to be the hotest right above the CPU. My older 506 unit does not get nearly as hot. I am just concerned that they might over heat? The CPU fan seems to be working fine.

Any one else have this problem?

Thanks

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

It might be due to this field notice, check the serial numbers for the pix and if they fall in that range, as per this notice heating will cause the pix to reboot.

If it is not in the range, please open a case with the TAC.

Thanks

Sujit
