accessing pdm from outside interface

I have a pix running 6.2, do i need to run ipsec to access the pdm on the pix from a host on the outside interface? If so, are there any other ways to do it.

I'm still fairly new to the PIX world, but I think all you need is to have pdm enabled and the following:

pdm location x.x.x.x 255.255.255.255 outside (for one specific host to come in to use pdm)
