conduits vs access lists - dose statefull inspection apply to access-lists

or does it just apply to conduit statements. So if you were using just access-lists on your PIX would it also use the statefull engine to inspect packets..? Or by using access lists on a PIX just the same as having a router with access list on it..?

It's just a change of syntax. Conduit is now depricated.
