Hi all,
Since a couple of weeks already we are suffering problems with the DbAdminAnalyser service in our CiscoWorks VMS 2.0 environment. When we come in in the morning we see that this service has stopped running at some strange administrator's request. However all tasks, except for the backup of the database, keep on running and working 'properly'. When we start up the service it keeps on running till somewhere during the evening or night. At that period of the day, the reportscheduler is very busy producing the reports of the day. Has this something to do with it ?
Best regards,
Johan.

Please upgrade the IDSMC/Secmon to the latest 1.2.3 version, if you haven't already done so. There was an issue with the DbAdminAnalyser process that has been fixed. If this does not fix the issue, please open up a TAC case for further analysis.
thanks,
Yatin

Ok, we have done the upgrade both on a test machine and our production server, but the issue still isn't solved. However when I ask for the 'About the server/Applications and Versions' info, the version of IDS MC and Sec Mon is not changed and remains on 1.2. Is this normal ?
Thanks,
Johan.

The version of our IDS MC is V1.2 patch level3. So we should be one the right version to not have this kind of problems anymore. We always get this type of error :
Exception in SystemContext - JZ006: Caught IOException: java.net.SocketException: Connection aborted by peer: JVM_recv in socket input stream read
[02/25/2004 17:57::36] IDS_DbAdminAnalyzer: process exit
One other suggestion we received was to go back to English regional settings. Here are our settings for the moment :
Location = English (UK)
Input language = Dutch (Be)
Keyb layout = Be Dutch
