IBM Tivoli Storage Manager and CSA Client

We use TSM to backup our servers and we have installed the CSA client on all of our servers. Even though the agent is running in test mode, when TSM goes out to back-up the CSA files, TSM receives an access denied error. Is there any way to write a rule to allow TSM to back-up the CSA files?

In the "Required Windows System Module" policy there is an Agent service control rule that can be changed to allow you not to log events in the CSA MC.

I had this same problem and just for testing I added the application class for TSM that I built and it at least stopped all the CSA messages. I haven't heard anything from our TSM admin about the files failing to backup.

Did you do anything on the server side to prevent the agent from logging it in the event logs on the server?
