New IP address problem

Hi

Following on from my previous conversation titled "Help with IP address problem" I enetered the following into my pix:

ip address dmz xxx.xxx.210.73 255.255.255.248

but I got:

WARNING: IP address <xxx.xxx.210.73> and netmask <255.255.255.248> inconsistent

Given that I got the same error when I entered:

ip address dmz xxx.xxx.210.72 255.255.255.248

Can anyone please tell me what my problem is?

Are you sure about that? 72 is the network number so would give that error, but 73 is valid and should work.

I pasted that line into a spare PIX and it took it. Can you post the full config?
