Securing config on 2610

jpac

Running ios 12.2 on cisco 2610. Observed unusual behavior whenever we experience power outage. Despite having saved running-config in NVRAM, after every power failure or router power-off, have to reconfigure. Is there anything we are missing out?

Thanks in advance.

Joe,

Check your config register. It is possible that the file is there but the router's "confreg" is setup such that it doesn't boot from nvram. Do a "sh ver" and check the last line. It should show "Configuration register is 0x2102".

If it's not then go to configure mode and type "config-register 0x2102" . Save your config and reboot the router.

Thanks for the reply. I did just that (since config register was showing oxA102). However when rebooting the rooter, trouble started! The following is the display I receive followed by a continous image decompression.

Thanks again.
