Real quick question....is it possible to upgrade from 6.3(3) to 7.2 instead of 7.0?
Thanks.

Hi,
The requirement for PIX7.2 upgrade is PIX 7.1. However, to upgrade to PIX7.1, your firewall must be running on PIX7.0.
Direct upgrade from PIX6.3(3) is not allowed. You must upgrade the box to PIX7.0 first, then PIX7.1 and eventually PIX7.2
PIX 6.3 -> PIX 7.0 -> PIX 7.1 -> PIX 7.2

UPDATE: I just spoke to a Cisco Engineer who stated that it is possible to upgrade from 6.3(3) to 7.2.

Hi,
Thats correct, you dont need to upgrade to each consistant IOS before reaching 7.2. The only thing you need to do is ensure that you meet the memory requirements:
Good luck.
