Hello!

Now with version 4.0 coming up, how long will Cisco continue to issue signature updates for 3.1.

We will be posting signature updates and service packs for 3.1(x) for the next year. The major advantages of migrating to 4.0 are increased performance, better integrated management (CLI), and a uniform code base across all supported sensor platforms. Still we expect the many customers to postpone their migration until they have had a chance to upgrade their enterprise management (to IDS MC 1.1).
