Cisco 7206VXR (NPE-G1) + PA-MC-STM-1SMI replacement

Hello Guys,

I need to replace Cisco 7206VXR (NPE-G1) with PA-MC-STM-1SMI adapter. Since it is very old hardware I am having hard times finding a decent replacement. What would you sugest please? It does now have to be new nor under support.

- What is the expected traffic volume/routing throughput on your network?
- Are there any specific security or compliance requirements (IPSec for example)?
- What type of interfaces do you need (RJ45/SFP/1G/10G for example)?
- how much interfaces do you need?

Hi,

- small network

- OSPF, BGP, VRF

- 3xE1 will be terminated here, might be up to 100Mbit in future

- no specific security or compliance requirements

- 2xRJ45, 1G + STM-1 adapter

The main reason is to change obsolete hardware with something newer and let those 3xE1 run there for now. I do not think this is going to expand any time in future.
