This feature allows the SCE platform to bypass at the NALA/SIP level.
If you enable h/w bypass feature, you can ignore some type of traffic(ip range) if you dont want to be interested in.
For example, maybe you have huge L2TP tunnels that are passing through the SCE but youre not interested in that traffic so you should do a h/w bypass, by doing this trick you can free the SCE's processing troughput.
In our project we saved %50 troughput by using this trick. You can do that on the SCM level (with traffic rules) but it is not the right way for doing this type of operation.(high util/temp)
