SSO NSF and BFD

Hello,

We are using Cisco 6500 with 2 Sup cpu.

For redundancy we use SSO and NSF (on BGP + ISIS routing protocol).

My question is - how can i integrate existing setup with BFD feature - Is it right to work with all this feature  (SSO + NSF + BFD) ?

What type of links do you want to use BFD on for protection? Are these copper connections, fiber optic? If it's fiber optic, is it a direct point-to-point connection or do you use DWDM or other fiber-ring technology?

This is kind of important to know before considering BFD, because you may not need it.
