Hello,
Just a couple questions. We currently have a 2911 ISR that we would like to have a backup connection so that we can still receive alerts and have access in case our main goes down. We are looking into using a LTE connection by adding a WWAN EHWIC card into 2911. We would probably go with Verizon as our ISP.
My first question is, is this possible as an option for a basic back up internet connection? Also, What is the difference between this card model EHWIC-4G-LTE-VZ and EHWIC-4G-LTE-V ? I have seen both herehttps://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/routers/access/interfaces/software/feature/guide/ehwic-4g-ltesw-book.html?referring_site=RE&pos=3&page=https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/interfaces-modules/4g-lte-wireless-wan-enhanced-high-speed-wan-inte... .
Other than IOS upgrades and firmware upgrades, anything else that we would need to do this? I am sure there is licensing included as well, however I don't currently know what kind. I understand the configuration of it all can be quite hard, but as long as we have all the tools and pre reqs I don't see any major issues.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you!
