Hi,
In the year ahead we will be looking to move from Cisco WCS as we have reached the limits of the software, and have yet to decide wether or not to stick with Cisco or move to something else. We are in the very early stages of this so I was wondering if anyone could answer a couple of questions for me...
Q1. Does the latest version of CPI base offer the same abilities of WCS (7.0.220.0) base? If not then what is it lacking, and what is needed to bring it up to WCS base standard?
Q2. What is my upgrade path from WCS (7.0.220.0) to the latest stable CPI?
Q3. Do I just need licences for the number of AP's or do I require licensing for my WLC's too?
Q4. Can I upgrade my licenses or do I have to buy new?
Our current setup:
WCS BASE
AP limit 350 (305)
SW 7.0.220.0
AIR-CT2504-k9 -> 25 AP limit -> SW 7.0.220.0
AIR-CT2504-k9 -> 25 AP limit -> SW 7.0.220.0
AIR-CT5508-k9 -> 250 AP limit -> SW 7.0.220.0
AIR-CT5508-k9 -> 250 AP limit -> SW 7.0.220.0
AIR-WLC4404-100-K9 -> 100 AP limit -> SW 7.0.220.0
AIR-WLC4402-50-K9 -> 50 AP limit -> SW 6.0.199.4
AIR-WLC4402-50-K9 -> 50 AP limit -> SW 6.0.199.4
Thanks in advance for any information.
