4300 camera issues

I am trying to view the feeds from my 4300 cameras.  I can log in and go to the view video tab, but I get a handful of different messages.  On my Windows 7 x64 IE9 computer I get "Object doesn't support property of method setProtocolType."  On my XP computer I get "Failed to connect source filter to AAC."  I also get activeX errors when trying to upgrade the firmware, which I admid is way out of date at 1.0.7.

Both of my computers can view the 100+ other cameras I have up and running so these couple 4300's are stumping me.  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

If version of your camera is <=2.0.0 - update it with cisco update utility for 4300/4500 IP camera to 2.3.1 version.

Hi!

If version of your camera is <=2.0.0 - update it with cisco update utility for 4300/4500 IP camera to 2.3.1 version.

The utility only upgrades once the firmware is at least 2.0.0.

I may be wrong, but a VSMS instance might be able to upgrade these cameras via the VSMC page.  I'm not 100% on that version of firmware though.  If you haven't considered trying it via the VSMC page... give it a try?  Might be a way to at least bypass the browser problems rather than solve them.

Let us know!

EDIT!:

Looks like you may also have to upgrade to an intermediate version first as well:

"

If the firmware release on your IP camera is lower than release 1.2.1, you must  first upgrade the firmware to 1.2.1 before you can upgrade to release 2.3.2. For  more information, see the Release Notes for Cisco Video Surveillance High Definition  IP Camera Release 1.2.1.

You can upgrade your IP camera to firmware 2.3.2  by using the Camera Firmware Upgrade feature in the VSM Management Console. For  instructions, see the "Using the VSM Management Console" chapter in Cisco Video Surveillance Manager User Guide.

The utility got me upgraded to 2.3.x.

Still can't view video to focus the thing, but I can hear audio so a step in the right direction.

Oops... looks like my edit didn't make it there in time.
