API /clip/createClip

Hi,

I am trying to create an MP4 clip via the API, based on certain types of alarm events. By default certain alarm events require documentation in our other systems and an accompanying MP4 clip for legal department. So rather than make a clip after the fact, seeking to make one by default for the team to simply download.

But I am getting the following error:

"status": {
"errorType": "FAILURE",
"errorMsg": "Operation failed: Invalid audio codec type for clip creation",
"errorReason": "Invalid audio codec type for clip creation",
"errorReasonCode": "invalid_clip_audio_codec"
}

The API documentation makes no mention of anything related to an audio codec anywhere for the api endpoint. Perhaps it is a recent requirement and the api doc has not been updated with the needed. Anyone know what the key/value payload is to resolve this audio requirement?

Thanx.
Rossi.

Re: API /clip/createClip

What audio codec you are using there?

Re: API /clip/createClip

Well that's the funny part - we do not even record audio :)

I did enable audio on a test camera to try to get past this and I used that
value as obtained from the media server CDAF page. But since the official
docs make no mention of the audio payload at all for the creatClip endpoint
I'm simply guessing what the key/value pair is in the first place.

Would you or anyone happen to have a sample createClip payload which
includes the audio portion?
