Cisco PAM client software do not want to install on client PC

Hi,

I installed the CPAM client software onto a PC running Windows XP professional Service Pack 3 with no problem

but then I had to uninstall the software again and that was also a success.

Two weeks later I was asked to install the client software again and now I have a problem.

The software will open the screen and allow you to select the necessary directories and icons to be installed. However when u

get to the setup shortcut screen and click  next, the install terminate and in the TASK Manager of the PC there is no Applications running anymore.

The client software is cpam-client-1.3.0_0.3.41

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards,

hi eben,

try this .

1) put off firewall before you install this client on window machine (right click on local area connection icon -> change firewall setting-> select off).

2) also try to add the CPAM server IP address as trusted site in IE.

go to tools->internet option -> select security tab -> select trusted site -> add IP address of CPAM server.

save and restart the browser and try again.

if you are a valid partner with any of the following certification below. Go ahead and open a case with PDI HD at http://www.cisco.com/web/partners/tools/pdi.html. (not for production clients)

Hi Karan,

I tried all your options but it did not help. I had to re-install Windows XP. Seems that I had a very serious issue in my registry.

After the installation. All is working again.

Thanks for the help.
