Hello All

 

A guy said me it was possible to give 2 passwords in cisco

 

-one for enable mode

-an other for conf t

 

i have never seen it. for me it s not possible for ios (nx os ?)

could you  confirm me whether it is possible or not

Once you got enable mode - you can have Role base access to either user can get in to config t or not (based on the user logged in)

Never seen that before neither. Going into enable mode would allow you to go into config t without any additional password.

Hi!

No, this is not possible..

You can just define Roles/Priviledges Users which are locally configured on the Switch, where you can prevent certain users from getting into Configuration Mode.

Also you can manage the same using Tacacs+, if you are using AAA to authenticate your users.
