Please tell me how to install the software on openSuse?
I downloaded and installed all with of the archive:

Cisco Video Surveillance Manager 7.5.0 upgrade software for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1 (i586)  Login & Valid Contract Required
Cisco_VSM-7.5.0-31i-sles10.zip

But the program still does not start, I think there is not enough what that file.
Which files are missing and where they I can take?

Unfortunately the installation instructions exactly for version 7.5, I have not found.
Version 6.3 got up and installed without difficulty.

Hi,

the file you are using is upgrade file, you need to use the .OVA file to deploy new VSM 7.x on your UCS blade.

below link will lead you to the OVA download for 7.X, please download the file depending on the UCS blade you are using. C series or B series.

Many thanks to Raghav for providing the URL to the OVA image I mentioned above.

Here is the deployment guide for installing the OVA to a virtual machine:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/physical_security/video_surveillance/network/vsm/7_6/vm/deploy/vsm_7_ova/ova_deployment.html

Once you are familiar with the suite, you'll probably also want to review the following design guides if you are planning a production deployment:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/physical-security/video-surveillance-manager/products-implementation-design-guides-list.html

Also, be sure to note the Cisco minimum hardware requirements for the solution:

what version are you currently running on?

1. if you are running on 6.3.x you have to go through migration process to update you server to 7.0 version and procced further with 7.5 upgrade.

2. if you are already on 7.x version, you may go to vsmc page --> system settings --> software management --> upload the package and click on install.

Please refer to VSM 7.0 management console guide.

Raghav Manjesh, Thanks for your reply!

Now is not installed is not one of the versions.
I'm trying install version 7.5 to clean system OpneSuse.

what is the hardware you are using? server model?

At the moment, run and test the virtual machine.

If this is the case, your best bet would be to obtain the 7.5.0 OVA images for deployment in a virtual machine on a supported platform.

You can then use the 7.5.1 archives along with the instructions in the release notes to upgrade your VM to the most recent version.

Regards,

Scott.

Hello Mr. Scott Olsen! Thanks for your reply!

I download and install all files from this archive (Cisco Video Surveillance Manager 7.5.0 upgrade software for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10 SP1 (i586)).
But the program does not start. It does not even have a list of programs. I think that I do not have some kind of important files to run the program.
May first need to install a different version?

Prompt,  where can I find a manual for installation?

Guys, where else I can download the file for testing?

1. what file do you wish to download?

2. All the image are available on cisco.com

https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=282976740&flowid=46918&softwareid=281933881&release=7.5.1&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

could you please help us understand what exactly are you looking for so that we could get you to it.

I think me need this file:

Cisco Video Surveillance Manager 7.6.0 OVA image for Cisco UCS B-series, C-series, and E-series (4-core) servers.  Login & Valid Contract Required
VSM7.6.0-CD15i-RHEL6.4_UCS-BC.ova

I already do not have access to download.
But really want to test and compare with the version 6.3. So, I need to decide which server to buy under my task.

sorry, you need to contact your system engineer and accounts manager for test and demo setup.

Hello, Guys!
Many thanks for your help!
But now I have another questions:
1. I got a file VSM7.6.0-CD15i-RHEL6.4_UCS-BC.ova
For test I have computer that is running Windows 7 X64.
I can work with this file in software "VirtualBox"? Or me need only "VMware vSphere"?

2. Now I launch a web browser and enter an IP address to access the Cisco VSM Management Console. But the page is not available. I use the command "ping" to test the virtual server. Ping works.
Why so?
(I user this manual http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/physical_security/video_surveillance/network/vsm/7_6/vm/deploy/vsm_7_ova/ova_deployment.html#94065)
