Confused on a VSVM install

I have a customer that is using one server as the VSOM and the VSMS. Now they want VSVM, they are currently on VSOM 4.2.1 ad VSMS 6.2.1. I have 2 questions about this:

1. Can I install VSVM when thay are only using the one server?

2a. If yes which version of VSVM?

2b. If no, what is the next version up that will accept VSVM?

I have read the install guide serveral times and it doesn't answer either of these questions

Thanks in Advance

Hi Reid,

Most likely you will need Cisco_VSVM-6.2.1-12-sles10-sp1.zip. Which you can still get on Cisco.com on the download software sectiion. It depends on the server OS you have there. The file above is for SUSE Linux10 SP1. There are other versions available (SUSE 9, Red Hat Linux and SUSE10-64bit) but all but one of the installations I have done used SUSE10 SP1.

The customer needs to pay for the software however.

CIVS-VM-SW6.2= CIVS-VM Virtual Matrix v6.2 Software License $3,700

CIVS-VM-1DFL= Cisco VS Virtual Matrix Client License, 1 Client $500

Link to software download here.

Also, it would probably be a good idea to upgrade the VSOM and VSMS to 6.3.2. if you can. Use the script that Sean posted in the forums.

My 2c anyways.
