Hello Community,

I was searching on the cisco website (and google) but couldnt really find the difference between the following two models:

CIVS-IPC-2500W

&

CIVS-IPC-2500WT

In the description for W it says Full resolutinon and in WT it says SD althought the SD is more expensive!

Doesnt make sense!

And there is no detailed datasheet for the two. Just a generic datasheet for the 2500 series which metions they are 720p

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/vpndevc/ps6918/ps9692/ps7307/data_sheet_c78-455613.html

Then whats the difference between the two?

Anyone have a clue?data_sheet_c78-455613-1.jpg

There is no functional difference between CIVS-IPC-2500W and CIVS-IPC-2500WT.  According to sources in the BU, both use the same software, firmware, have the same features.  The T designation may refer to a part sold to certain geographic locations or types of customer, but functionally the cameras are the same.  That's likely the reason you cannot find any marketing information on the cisco.com describing differences.

Both 'full resolution" and SD are describing the same functionality.  "High resolution" or HD would be the description for the HD series, 4300 and 4500 cameras.

Thanks man, that makes it clear.

Still it doesnt make sence that the prices are different.

W is $1250

WT is $1500
