IDC Problem - Can't login

Hi,

I'm setting up my IDC for IPICS. It was working the week before, but this time, I can't login.  I have attached the print screen from my IDC. I'm running Windows XP SP3. I don't know why all of a sudden I can't login. The "OK" button is grayed out. I've also tested the user account by logging it in the IPICS server and I can login. I have also reinstalled IDC, but it's still the same. Hope someone knows this. Thanks in advance.

Regards

Make sure there are enough DS0 resources available to the server and the RMS is up. When you log in remote you are making a SIP call through the RMS. You can run the debug command debug ccsip messages to verify you are getting to the RMS.

Hi John,

My VTG is working (although delayed). I have many resources left. I have issued the debug ccsip messages and nothing happens when I login the IDC. What can I do to troubleshoot this?

Regards

Depending on what version of windows you ar using tak a look at your logs at c:/program files/cisco systems/cisco IDC 4.0/users and see if your the IP address of your IPICS server is there.

Also click on the IP address then system/username. them open IDC debug log and check the pmc_config and look for the IP address for the RMS.

Also try turning on the trace log.

Turning on the IDC traces and logs.

If an issue/crash occurs consistently, you can turn on additional traces and logs for the IDC through the IDC configuration file.

Note: For any changes in the IDC configuration file to take effect, IDC will have to be restarted.

The IDC configuration file is located under \Cisco Systems\Cisco IDC 4.0\4.0\Bin directory as RunIDC.exe.config. The will usually be C:\Program Files - unless it is changed during installation.

The configuration file has multiple sections each pertaining to a module in IDC. The different sections – used to turn on the traces - in the configuration file is given below. These traces are turned off by default.

Set the appropriate trace flag to 'True' (to turn on tracing) or ‘False’ (to turn off). It is recommended to set the flags to ‘True’ for the sections specified below.
