I've had several cameras that have lost power recently due to long outages. Some of the PTZ's when they reset come up with a menu overlay on the screen (to select language, etc). Is there a way to clear this through the admin page? The particular PTZ I am looking at now is a Cisco 2900 SE or more specifically model # CIVS-IPC-2900

John,
Take a look at this white up I did a while back which should help.

Thanks Scott! That is exactly what I needed. In fact, the one I have fixed this on already had some presets, so it made it even easier. Kind of takes a little bit to power through those menus but it looks like it did the trick. By the way, if you get a chance, you may have a look at my other post from awhile back about schedules in VSOM. I never got any answers to that one. I'm kind of new in working with physical security, so I'll take all the help I can get.
Here's a link to that post:

John,
I'm glad it worked for you. As for schedules, I don't use them so sorry I wouldn't be of much help with that issue. I will say however that if you are still using version 6.3.2 you really should look at upgrading your system to 7.0.1. It is a NIGHT and DAY difference and a lot of your frustration will go away.

Thanks. I think we are hesitant to upgrade just due to the hassle we had with the last upgrade. Will have to check with my supervisor on it but hopefully we can do that soon.

I think we were the first if not one of the first to have our system migrated from 6.3.2 to 7.0 and had an advance team from Cisco come in to do the migration. It did take a couple of days but was WELL WORTH the hassle and bugs that were found in 7.0 have for the most part been addressed in 7.0.1 and Cisco is ongoing at working to keep making the product better.
