OK, here is a strange one that I came across today:
Customer has VSOM 4.2.1 / VSMS 6.2.1 and no physial servers, they are virtualized servers on a module in a router (2811) and upload all archives to a physical Windows server nightly. They now want VSVM installed, there is no documentation (that I can find) on installing VSVM this way. I currently have a TAC case opened and they are "almost" positive that this can't be done but I wanted to check on here to see if anyone has ever come across this........
Also considering that there is no physical boxes, can I upgrade them to latest code? (my thoughts are "no")
I am just trying to verify what I am thinking along with what I am being told.
Thanks in advance

Hi Reid,
If tou have your vsom and vsms running on a VMSS module in your router, the answer is No.
Virtual Matrix cannot run on VMSS.
Current lastest release for VMSS is 6.3.0. You can upgrade to that.
If you are not running them on a VMSS module, please let us know what they are runninng on.

Sorry Reid. When you download and install it will actually show as 6.2.2.

They are running VMSS Module, so that answers my question. I know that they will not want to upgrade they just wanted VSVM.
Awesome,
Thanks a lot Holly
