Hello,

Try this:

Go the VSMC page of the media server that the camera is configured on:

http:///vsmc

Configuration > Media Server > Local Repositories

  1. Uncheck all the repositories checkboxes that are checked.
  2. Click the Update Button at the bottom.
  3. Make sure you see the "Successfully Updated" message
  4. Check the same repository checkboxes again
  5. Click the Update Button at the bottom.
  6. Make sure you see the "Successfully Updated" message
  7. Restart the Cisco Services again from Restart Server --> Restart Media Server button

Let me know if this restores operation for your newly added proxy, and if it does not, please include the snippet from the ims.log containing this error message, along with the 15 messages before it and the 15 after it so I can get a better understanding of the problem.

Thanks,

Sean

Hello,

If the camera is running 1.x firmware, this is likely your problem, and the upgrade process will require you to use the Upgrade Utility.  If you are running 2.x firmware, then this may not be your problem, but you can upgrade the camera either via the camera's GUI or via the VSMC page of the media server.  Please review the Upgrade Instructions for the 2500 and pay particular attention to what version you are upgrading from.

Follow up and let us know if an upgrade helps.

Thank you,

Sean

Hi Sean,

Thank you for your respond , the firmware on 2500 is (2.1.7) latest version , but I do not know why this problem appears , please advise .

Hi Sean,

When I switch on the server and open Cisco Video Surveillance it gives me an error "Could not connect to host localhost".

When I start the services using a command "etc/init.d/cisco start" it works. How can we eliminate the error. I dont want to enter the command manually each time.
