Hi everyone!

After factory reset via usb flash of VSMS, the redhat linux doesn't allow to log in. Ip Address was obtained as normal 192.168.0.200, but the password root/secur4u doesn't work. I'm tried a dozens combinations, but it doesn't help. We are used Cisco_VSM-7.0.0-recovery-2.1.tar and i checked that the hashsum is ok. Can someone help me with this issue? Any ideas why it happens? I'm tried reinstall system 5 times already.

Thank you Adam very much.

Root cause of the problem is the installation process with 7.0.0 version. After trying to install 7.0.1 the passwords works as expected.

Hi Viktor,

Try with the User: "localadmin"/ Password: "secur4u"

Root password was not default to "secur4u". We need to set that once you login with localadmin.

[localadmin@VSM-7 ~] sudo su -

[root@VSM-7 ~]# passwd root

#Changing password for user root.

New password:

Retype new password:

passwd: all authentication tokens updated successfully.

Let me know how its goes!
