Technically, yes it can. It's not recommended, however.
I would first try to determine what the actual issue is before sending it for a reboot however. It could be isolated to just this one client?
I would personally check the Health Monitor within VSOM if you, or someone else is able to access it.
If not, try accessing the VSMC management page for the server and check its health from there.
To provide more specific recommendations, I'd need some more detail about the installation.
